We accept both agented and unagented submissions. Our areas of interest are literary fiction with strong plotlines and charismatic characters (no experimental or metafiction), smart book club novels, upmarket mysteries, upmarket crime (including genre benders, but in all cases books which aim to say something important about the world rather than merely tweak genre conventions), intelligent suspense (no doomsday plots or Bond-style eyewash), the rational end of speculative (no fantasy, space opera, or superheroes in any shape or form), as well as contemporary humour and satire.

We do NOT accept AI-generated works or those that have been previously published, whether in entirety or in part (this includes personal blogs, social media accounts, or any other). Our preferred length is 80,000 to 100,000 words. Please send a bio and cover (one page maximum) in the body of your email together with a PDF of the polished and professionally set manuscript (double-spaced, Times New Roman size 12, 1-inch margins, et cetera). You will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. If we are interested, we will get back to you within four weeks from the date of submission (typically earlier).
